Vascular lesions are common abnormalities that affect the skin and underlying tissues and are categorized as Hemangiomas, Vascular Malformations, and Pyogenic Granulomas.

Some of the most common examples of vascular lesions include the following:

Rosacea

Facia Telangiectasias

Cherry Angioma

Spider Veins on Legs

Causes of Vascular Lesions

Vascular lesions occur when the network of vessels that carry blood throughout the body is compromised.  This irregularity in the vascular system may lead to the formation of skin marks, tumors, ulcers, wounds, or sores. Vascular lesions may be on the skin surface or deep in the vein tissues.

Vascular Lesions Treatment

Multiple cutaneous vascular lesions can be treated with lasers and intense pulsed light (IPL)

Laser therapy is an effective treatment for vascular lesions including ulcerated lesions, residual blood vessels, or discoloration. Through laser treatment, blood vessels are targeted without causing damage to the surrounding tissues.
